RST: Innovative ram saddle with overturned morphology.

The innovative system (PATENT PENDING) RST - Reverse Saddle Technology by FPT, consists of a particular design in the ram saddle that, thanks to its upside down “C” morphology associated with 3 linear trapezoidal guideways and 6 high resistance roller pads (2+2+2), it allows to maintain the straightness of the ram during its cross stroke, combining it with a high torsional resistance of the same. All this cannot be achieved with the traditional solutions having only a flat saddle with two lateral guideways or with the “L” saddle solutions.
In addition, this type of solution allows you to lower the starting position of the vertical ram thus reducing the distance of the systems guideways+ pads of the cross axis as to the longitudinal system. In this way, the stiffness of the bed/column/saddle/ram system is greatly increased, thus enlarging the removal capacity and the accuracy over the whole working area. We highlight that, thanks to RST technology, the ORIGIN milling machine, with the same vertical stroke, will have the lowest column compared to all other existing competing solutions, therefore much more rigid and compact, guaranteeing better performance and facilitating the positioning of the machine even in workshops with limited heights.
